Who We Are
With global philanthropic funding for climate - both adaptation and mitigation - at less than 2% annually, along with inadequate financing for nature-based solutions and oceans, we know it’s not where it needs to be.
We also understand that breaking into a new niche can feel daunting. Now more than ever, philanthropy must step up boldly, investing in emerging solutions and pathways to impact at scale. We help you define your most visionary philanthropic purpose and turn it into reality.
Our goal is to direct philanthropic capital where it is needed most, driving meaningful change and advancing prosperity for both people and the planet.
Our Leadership
Sehr Tejpar, MBA, MSc. Founder & Principal
Sehr (Sahar) Tejpar is a creative strategist with an interdisciplinary background in global development, climate, and nature. She brings experience in philanthropy, intermediaries (re-grantors), and leadership roles at non-profits. She has worked with notable re-grantors We Mean Business Coalition and TED Audacious recipient The International Land and Forest Tenure Facility, as a thought partner to senior leadership in times of transition, after receiving “Big Bet” funding, and grappling with the early and accelerated stages of scale.
Prior to working in climate, nature, and oceans, she worked with the Aga Khan Development Network where she held a range of roles across programmes, organizational development, strategy, partnerships, and general management. Throughout her career, she has taken on strategic challenges for organizations in times of radical change, built strong teams, and facilitated collaborative network partnerships to unlock collective impact. She is passionate about strategic philanthropy and believes every bet is a big bet in a time of accelerated change.
She holds an MBA from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and a Master’s of Science in City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Based in Lisbon, Portugal, she is an avid yogi, lover of movement, and enjoys spending time in and connecting with nature.
Our Partners
Our work is supported and informed by a network of trusted partners and organizations aligned in advancing more ambitious climate philanthropy. These relationships bring together complementary expertise, shared insight, and a collective commitment to scaling impact — including the broader goal of accelerating climate philanthropy by 2028.
We are the U.S. delivery partner for Impatience Earth, and part of their global family of advisors aligned around a shared vision to advance more ambitious and effective climate philanthropy.
Founded in 2020, Impatience Earth works to educate, challenge, and inspire wealth holders to take bolder funding decisions in response to the climate emergency. Since then, it has catalyzed over £250 million in new commitments to climate philanthropy, with nearly half directed toward the Global South.
Through this partnership, we support philanthropists in exploring opportunities across climate justice, resilience, and the Global South, helping to shape more thoughtful and impactful approaches to giving.
As a partner, BOLD benefits from access to Impatience Earth’s global network of advisors, thematic specialists, and experts. Together, we design curated learning journeys that connect funders with credible voices and on-the-ground insight from across the field.
We are a proud member of the Climate Philanthropy Commitment (CPCC), a collective effort to help philanthropy leverage its full potential in addressing the climate crisis. Convened to bring together foundations, advisory firms, and philanthropy networks, CPCC is united by a shared goal: to catalyze more, and more effective, climate philanthropy.
Through this network, BOLD is aligned with the ambition to triple U.S. climate philanthropy by 2028 — supporting funders as they move from climate curious to climate actors. CPCC provides access to shared data, insights, and strategies that strengthen decision-making and accelerate more informed, impactful giving.
